With two boys in their thirties Willow believes it was empty nest syndrome that made her think of fostering.
“Both my husband and I both come from big families and we are used to having a lot of people around. I have a lot of experience working with young people and we discussed it with our own boys, who told us to go for it. All of our family have been very supportive.
“We have been fostering two siblings for six months and are still very new at it.
“Being with teenagers is a rollercoaster ride but if they weren’t here I would really miss them. They are truly wonderful kids and are so incredibly resilient. We want to make sure they are both happy and healthy and ready to face the world when the time comes for them to fly.”
